Its very good dam between Shimla and manali highway. You can take some amazing photgraphs. You can see good view of the dam from above the hills.

This is located on way to Manali. The beautiful view of this dam makes it a good photo point. One can spend a nice 1 hour taking photos and enjoying the scenic view

The water there is so clean and the blue hue makes it even more calm and scenic. The sam is really huge and a nice engineering work.

We were in bus and viewed the dam from inside the bus. Entry on the dam was prohibited. So could just had a glance through and passed by.

Pandoh dam is a nice place to stop and admire the natural beauty of the place with river Beas flowing and the dam in the background. The dam was constructed in 1977 for generation of hydro electric power. The place is a favorite tourist stop....More

Enroute we also crossed Pandoh dam – visible from the road across river Beas – this creates a big reservoir in the deep valley of Mandi and very nice to see. We did not stop-by as it was getting dark soon.

Good view to see can when u r on d way to Manali. We started from shimla around 8 am and reached here by 3pm. The view was good and kids enjoyed the break during long travel time..

On road while going to Manali, you can enjoy the view near the dam and have short break. Though this can be covered without stopping as well as nothing very special.

Scenic location near by. Nothing to watchout for wrt to Dam as such. A good spot to take a short break in the journey to Manali.

the dam is pretty as it is. it will be very cold in december. however just a short walk will get you to lovely scenery and probably snow fields. also I think u need a permit or something to go up which can be arranged easily... More
