It was really breathtaking to be witnessing this marvelous monument which was set up in honor of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III's silver jubilee celebration. The marble-treated interiors are wonderfully decorated with intricately carved murals. Its astonishing architectural designs are really mind-boggling and wondrous. It was really difficult to find words how to describe this cenotaph in expressing total admiration. It's my epitome of perfection.

Kirti Mandir is built in 1936 as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. Kirti Mandir is also known as "Temple of Fame" is the cenotaph of the Gaekwads. The marble treated interiors of the Kirti Mandir is wonderfully decorated with intricately carved murals.
It is believed that Sayajirao Maharaja built this Kirti Mandir in the memory of deceased members of the royal Gaekwad family and the edifice is dedicated to Lord Mahadev.

We visited this Kirti Mandir in the month of march especially on 4th being Shivratri. Being very old none was there except Shiv dhun was going on. Area was quite vast but it wasn't getting maintained, broken leaves were lying here and there. Its entry is not visible so we have to enquire someone as its entry was from side gate which didn't give an impression of existence of temple. But one must visit it being ancient its important. It could be visited by hiring a taxi or auto rikshaw.

This is a historical place of Vadodara which is a Cenotaph of Gayakwad royals.
It was built in 1936 as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. The temple houses five wall paintings by artist Raja Ravi Varma showing various phases of battle of Mahabharata.
This is open from 10 to 6 for common public.

Yes good architecture. There is not much to see but you can pay your respects to the departed Maharajas and Maharanis. who left behind such rich legacy. Datta Mandir in the compound is a pretty place.

Is there any entry fee for Kirti mandir? Last time I went to Vadodara, the entry fee for Laxmi Vilas palace was 225/- per head. Just want to know whether such fee is charged for visiting Kirti mandir.

No entry fees. Besides Kirti Mandir be sure to visit Kasturba Niwas at the rear side of this place.
