The statue is for the remembrance of seven martyrs in the British era. The statue is made in such a way (body pose when they were shot at) that one's hand get automatically up for a salute. Jai Hind.

The statue of our freedom fighters does evoke patriotic feelings. You can just pass by it, no need to stop by though.
