We walked up to the house just prior to the waterfall’s entry of the street and a lady with a massive goitre charged us FJD20 each to get access.
The strenuous walk through nature is great, but not without danger, as it is steep and slippery in several parts.
The waterfall itself was great, but very rough due to the tropical rains in the days prior, so swimming wasn’t a thing for us.

One of the highlights of our trip. This is fairly off the beaten path (and the nearby village where you pay to access the falls is not easy to find) so a guide (or really good directions from a local) is recommended.

The journey from the resort to this place is about 45 minutes, the hike up to the waterfall is about 20 to 25 minutes, decent and not overly difficult terrain. The Waterfall was amazing and you wonder the creation of nature. It is definitely worth to jump or walk into the pool and swim toward the inner cave to see the fall as well to experience the strength of the fall coming down, On the lower end, where water is running is suitable for children. Unfortunately the place is small so it can be crowded and you really cannot spend too much time inside as there are others waiting to do into the pool.

Beautiful falls & swim in the lagoon at the end of a decent uphill hike! The falls were very strong when we were there so probably not great for nervous swimmers or those unsteady on their feet. A tip for contact lens wearers...take goggles so you can swim under & behind the falls. It was incredible! I borrowed someone’s & loved it! Glad I did it afterwards even through on the hike I wasn’t so sure!!

It's not a hard hike, but it's 20 minutes of unlevel ground that's uphill. Wouldn't suggest for older or less confident walkers. But even a beginner hiker can take their time. It's covered the entire way and the fall is SO TALL! It's really refreshing to jump in after that walk, and try your might at fighting the waterflow to stand by the fall itself. Definitely recommend going here!

I agree with what one other person wrote. I am in very good shape but I was overwhelmed by the waterfall when I swam up to it and my husband had to grab me and pull me behind it because I got stuck being pushed away but still under the pouring water. Be careful. The area surrounding the waterfall is not very nice. Its a small path that leads up and if you step off, it's kind of nasty. There is a bench but if you aren't in the waterfall area, there isn't really anything to do or a nice place to sit. It is a beautiful waterfall but if you've seen others, you might not find this that exciting.

What a find! Literally in the middle of nowhere! It was a very short hike but so worth the walk. There are little fish in here as well! I don't know if you can jump off anymore but we did

They took us here from the Jean-Michele Cousteau Resort, and it was a great trip. Pretty drive up the mountain and then a nice walk with beautiful plants along the way. The falls are what you imagine on a tropical island, and it's fun to swim in the pools. There are two, and one is easier to access than the other, so most people will be able to get into the water. Even if you don't swim, you will enjoy viewing the falls.

I've waited 6 months to write this because I get sad if I have to write a negative review for a beautiful place. That being said, If you aren't in shape, are in various age categories, and/or not a strong swimmer, this side trip is a waste of your money. Let me explain. The climb up to the waterfall is not easy peasy; you're walking on self made steps cut into the mountain and a "handrail" that's a thin piece of wire. It's a good mile (or a titch more) uphill. Very straight uphill. When you reach your destination there is nothing there but a picnic table, an extremely small lagoon (which most of us sat in), and then the small waterfall. My 3 grown kids (ages 30, 31 and 33 LOVED it) and they are all in great shape and very strong swimmers so they played in and under the waterfall the entire time. When you swim between the two rocks to "play and experience" the waterfall, it is VERY deep and a VERY strong current. I thought "oh no" (actually it was a four letter word I uttered) when I swam through to them and my son-in-law had to grab me to help me to the extremely narrow ledge and pull me up. I was scared (again, I was 63, had run a half marathon, I'm in pretty good shape, so I'm far from feeble) and I was like "sorry, going back to sit in the lagoon with everyone else. The grown kids who are all STRONG swimmers raved about it and loved it. I was so grateful when we left that it was all a downhill hike. The guides were very nice, but, this is a very small waterfall area and I think it's a bit misleading when you read about it because we (I) thought it was going to be this lovely, shallow, rather large area. NO! Again, I feel bad giving a negative review but unless you are a very strong swimmer and in really good hiking shape I would not recommend this. At. All.
