Not many tourists go to El Dahar, unfortunately or luckily. For me and my friends, this was the best experience... away from the loud tourist area (different kind of loud here), and offers the authentic Egyptian style... yet very safe, as Hurghada is probably the...More

A lot of the stuff they were selling was junk, but it was still quite a sight to see. Enjoyed the fruit and veggie market and seeing the people with their carts of everything to sell. A bit dirty but it seemed real and I...More

Worth a visit to see how locals live. There is a very good veg and fruit bazaar - and a big church as beautiful as the mosques.

Well, the tourist junk and plastic ware is just junk like anywhere else. However I did find some interesting items, one was a stall just outside this place that sold second hand English language paperbacks. The second was a man who sold genuine unregistered sidearms...More

I've reviewed many times, still the same old Dahar. You can get almost anything here, pots, pans, clothes, shoes. You may need to haggle, but that's all part of it, be street wise, I've always found it very safe. Remember, your with people who don't...More
