We ere the only ones here - everyone else heads for Turtle Bay. However, this peaceful and secluded lagoon is actually in Puerto Ayora, but not well signposted at all. It is certainly worth a visit, and is really easy to walk round using the...More

This is the kind of spot you visit for a quiet peaceful encounter with nature and yourself. Don't expect to encounter lots of wildlife, this is a meeting between you and the water of the lagoon.

Nice walk along the boardwalk around the lagoon. Free entry. We enjoyed watching the fish, and puzzled at a disturbance in the water near the sea inlet. It turned out to be a pair of stingray. Keep your eyes open - you never know what...More

The lagoon is not that far away from town and only takes some 10 minutes to go around however, it's really pretty and surprisingly calm and quiet. Cool place to take nice pictures on the dock by the water. You can't swim here by the...More

If you need a bit of peace and quiet away from the crowds, this is the place for you. This is a lovely walk around a sweet lagoon near the harbor. And you might see some interesting birds

We went in the morning and didn't see any animals besides some geckos and the occasional bird. I guess, closer to the evening you might be able to see the rays and turtles

You will probably hit this on the way back from Tortuga Bay. It's pretty and serene; wooden paths take you around very still and blue/green water that is fed from the sea.

Nice boardwalk around the lagoon. One of the less busy places I went to and some local people were enjoying the quietness too. This is where a fresh water stream meets the ocean tide. The wildlife and fish very camouflaged with the surroundings. Best early...More
