There are two lava tunnels and we chose the larger one. Our guide told us right before we started hiking that one section was 20cm high and we'd need to crawl through it. Thankfully I was dressed for hiking, had sturdy shoes on and wasn't...More

This is an easy add on for the turtles, as it shares the same property. The story of the formation of the lava tubes are always fun to think about. This one is particularly interesting as it was formed with a tube inside a tube....More

Took about 10-15minutes to walk through this tunnel. It started off pretty normal, but the further you go in, the more you feel like this attraction is not the safest place because it looks like the whole thing is about to collapse on you. It...More

Its a long 150 m walk in the tunnel ... not really perfect for pictures and honestly was a bit dangerous with my sport shoes.

Climbing down stairs into the cool darkness of a naturally made lava cave. You really need a guide on the Galapagos to explain how, what and why and this added a lot to our trip especially in the lava caves. Underground it is quiet and...More

This was a great activity to do! The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Walking in a lava tunnel is something! Just wish I had a glass of wine with me to sit and sip 😀

A very interesting lava tunnel which developed from a cooling of the roof above the lava stream. Must visit if you are around.

It's nice to walk through here, but if you have been in some impressive caves already then there's nothing that will impress you here. Visit in combination with a visit on the Rancho Primicias.

As someone who is claustrophobic, I was wary of the tunnels but pushed myself and I'm so glad I did! it was very open with high ceilings and the one low part is super quick and not intimidating at all. The insides are beautiful and...More

No there is no entrance fee to the tunnel. It you do need to get a taxi there and that is about 25 USD. The taxi will wait at the far end for you to take you back. If you are going to the tunnel, it is worth it to go to... More
