We took a walk around the gardens and had a nice latte in the café, which was relaxing (it isn't easy to get a decent coffee in China so once we found here, we stayed a bit). Very beautiful temple structures and nice flowers/trees planted,...More

This was very interesting when explained by the guide. No English anywhere at all. Take tea next door in the lovely garden. This was opposite our hotel , Buddha Zen Hotel

We went here with a private guide that was knowledgable on Buddhism... it was fantastic to learn lots of info on this religion while walking around the grounds. It is an active Monastery/Temple, so there will be people there to pray and such. They do...More

Paid a quick visit to the temple after a full morning of visiting pandas. I don't have much to say about the temple itself, but the area outside the temple has quite a few shops selling souvenirs and other goods made by local artisans.

Old buildings, lots of locals, unfortunately our guide did not tell us too much about this place so we found it quite boring.

Lots of history and such a special and spiritual place. I hope I can tap into the feelings of peacefulness I experienced there next time I feel the stress of life winding me up.

Went for a morning walk and it was simply beautiful. Very peaceful and serene. Would highly recommend. Walked around the streets surrounding the monastery exploring the shops and picked up most of our gifts there. Loved it!

Wenshuyuan is a big, green complex in the heart of busy Chengdu. I spent a solid hour wandering around, peering into the turtle pond, walking through the beautiful gardens and enjoying the gorgeous architecture. The tian shui mian restaurant across the street from the exit...More
