We visited this place as it was recommended by TripAdvisor as one of the top 10 places to visit in Chengdu. It's very touristy, you can buy souvenirs for home here. No bargaining. Most of the time they only accept cash and their local credit...More

They did a pretty good job with this place as far as how it looks, I enjoyed the monochromatic photo/sculpture things on display in the streets. I felt it was a bit nicer/different from most other „traditional“ alleys I‘ve seen in China, more like a...More

There's nothing historic here, just a bunch of themed shops that are new, but built in the old style. It takes 20 minutes tops to walk through both if you dont buy anything.

Every time I visit China, I return to the Alleys. I love the hustle and bustle; the cacophony of voices that greets you as you approach. Wide and Narrow Alleys are busy, all year round. You can get away from the shoulder to shoulder crowds...More

Great place to explore if you don't mind the crowds. There are lots of shops and restaurants and it is in a central part of town.

Great shopping and food. This is a good place to enjoy a tea ceremony and learn about tea. Storekeepers are friendly and not pushy. You will find all kinds of souvenirs.

We visited this place on Sunday so it was rather busy and crowded. We tried a few local delicacies. Tasted good and it was a good experience for us. The Qing Dynasty buildings are good to view. Just that this place has become too commercialised.

I recommend to take subway when you want to leave the area. Taking Didi to go there is ok but booking is Didi when you leave requires you to give exact landmarks to meet your driver as there are many entrances for this area.

Good question! We were there in the evening, until around 10, and things were still busy. But I'm guessing by midnight things are winding down. If you get there around 10, based on our experience, you'll still find lots of... More
