We certainly enjoyed the boat tour and the views of the old City. Outstanding and well worth the time spent. We also walked along some of the adjacent shopping streets and visited some of the small food stores.

Small area navigated by boat. Very old town. Very attractive ancient Chinese city. Well worth a visit here if you go to Suzhou. Loved it.

Nice snack/shops walk along the river. You can take a boat for a quick 20minutes-ride at 150rmb for 4 people. The lady sang a little bit for 1minute... still funny to experiment. Some shocking stuffs though...the turtles trapped in plastic boxes, painted in super heroes’...More

From Shanghai station take the high speed train, then the #5 suburban bus for taste of local transport. This takes you through the estates along the way to Luzhi, a little more explorative and will cost you 3Y. Takes you direct to the front entrance....More

If you are looking for some authentic Chinese craftsmanship it can be found here if you look for it. Not just your "run of the mill" souvenir stuff. One of the oldest family own restaurants that serve "squirrel fish" (that's the name) is really awesome....More

Wonderful experience walking through this Ancient Town, with many local merchandises, silk works, and there is canal that runs along the whole town. It was clean and not many tourists yet when we were there.
