You can learn almost everything about silk. You can meet the caterpillars, look at the leafs, cocoon, way of production. It is the traditional production line of silk - very interesting to see! And, of course, at the end you pass a big silk mall....More

You can observed how the silk is produced from the first phase. If you wish you can touch even larvas :) Of course, there is obligatory silk shop after the visit. Fortunately nobody is pressed to buy something.

While most tours might take you to a factory for purchasing silk, this museum tells a great story about silk in China and makes for a great stop while in town exploring Suzhou. The exhibits are all well done and the museum is free. Definitely...More

This was a quick and worthwhile stop to see how silk is made, from the worms to the looms. The store/gift shop is large and takes away from the experience a little, but still worth it.

Yes it does. Go early only open from 9 am to 3 pm... Nice silk wear to buy... Credit card accepted. Enjoy.
