This was a quick and worthwhile stop to see how silk is made, from the worms to the looms. The store/gift shop is large and takes away from the experience a little, but still worth it.

We visited here as part of our tour, and I was pleasantly surprised by the information. I'd never heard of some of the items being made from silk and how apparently good they are. Needless to say I have come home with a silk quilt!!

We marvelled at the intricate craftsmanship in designing and manufacturing premier quality bedding, apparel, and artwork. And it’s possible to buy them from the excellent in-house retail outlet.

Tour guide said this is an average place to see but we found this to be one of the best things in Suzhou as we did not grade the gardens with any stars
