The cherry blossoms happened to be in season when I was there two weeks. Pretty nice scene in the East Lake cherry blossoms park. However, it was quite an annoyance when we left the park: all taxi demanding 6 times of normal fare due to...More

My purpose of visit East Lake is for cherry blossom. it's overcrowding especially during weekend. Pls bear in mind that the park is huge and it take a long journey to go around the park. (p.s. it's six times of Hangzhou West Lake) The cleanliness...More

Excellent park! Worth to spend half a day or full day. They have your bus (RMB40 per day) if you don’t want to walk. Or rent a bike, RMB10-20 only.

Walking along the river is really nice. Impressive how large this river is. Has some similarities to the Bund in Shanghai, just that buildings are not all as modern. There is a lot of space to walk and cars are a little away, so not...More

Said to be the largest lake in the area. It’d be better to visit in via the parks around it, which would offer better view and entertainment.

The new park is beautiful and with convenient stops or food or needs along the way. We stopped at an art exhibit and watched the sunset and enjoyed our bike ride around the lake. Especially at night.
