This is a paradise for people who enjoy street shops and not so particular about brands .You get decent stuff. Some shopkeepers bargain some have fixed price shops.shopping street is quite a big area so almost a day is required to cover it all .

Lots of shops along streets but was too hot in this weather (Aug). Enjoyed the cooler shopping centres all around this area, modern and clean!

Nice pedetrian street with the usual pajamas suitcases cheap chinese clothes chain stores etc. Seem to have one in every city. Also dpt. Stores scattered around. Like the guangzhou ones better.

Take subway to Laojie station. Rmb 2. Prepare small notes to buy tickets. Dongmen pedestrian street above the station. Many shops open ard 12 noon drg weekdays.
