This is another beautifully preserved temple dating to around 967AD The Citadel of Women has intricate carvings that will take your breath away. The ruins are minature compared to Angkor Wat, but this little gem hidden in the jungle about 20 miles from Angkor, is worth the visit. Go first thing in the morning before it is too hot and over run with other tourists. Take some water too. Good footware is helpful but there is minimal climbing here...so mobility constrained individuals will have an easier time of it. Love it!!…

A beautiful pink sandstone temple covered in magnificent intricate carvings. It has been called the "jewel in the crown" of sculpture from that era. I found it fascinating and very beautiful and it's great for photos too. Usually not as busy as the main temples in Angkor so that is another bonus. You should combine this with a visit to Kbal Spean a river with elaborate carving actually on the river bed which is a must see location as far as I am concerned…

The temple is at forty five min traveling from Siem Reap. Great explanation about excavations, the significance about this monument and also: excellent coffees and toilets. The monument is included with good and flawlessly preserved sandstone carvings. This is the sole temple which was not built by kings, but with the guru or perhaps teacher of a king.…
