Pub Street is most definitely not going to suit everyone, especially at night, when it gets busy and loud. My wife and I visited in the afternoon and enjoyed touring the various bars to see what was on offer, and found some places with really low prices. We are both in our 60s, yet quite enjoyed the atmosphere at night, but left before it became really raucous. However, the main reason we left was not to avoid the noise and large crowds, but because we had an early rise to go and visit Angkor Wat for the sunrise. I'd definitely recommend a visit, but would suggest going in the afternoon to have a better look around in the daylight and get your bearings before returning after dark.

After the long walks during the day, this was the perfect place to unwind with a few chilled beers. Food across is great and while you are there I suggest you try the Khmer cuisine. Take up a spot facing the street and let the street performers keep you entertained.

I can only imagine what this street would be like in normal times. Unfortunately, much of Siem Reap was closed down during our stay. Despite this we did hang around after dark and ate at the Red Piano which was good. I love to come back when the tourists return.

Crowded place during tourism times... Now under covid restrictions more places are open than 4 weeks before and competing... But not much people are around.

Pub Street is Siem Reap's center for pubs, clubs, and bars. It's filled with tourists around the world who love to chill after a long day of the tour in the temples.  Pub Street is considered as a red light district of Siem Reap so don't be surprised if young women approach you offering a massage or other sort of services when you're having a drink or when you're simply walking down the street.
