Built for a man so rich he never lived in it (if I understood correctly) and it doesn't feel lived in either. The gardens are tidy but lacking inspiration. Note the opening hours: Saturday and Sunday in the mornings and then (to keep you on...More

A lovely place to visit and learn about the history of the Palacio. They have great English tours every afternoon. The gardens around the place are worth the visit alone. The house it self is also magnificent and fascinating. No pictures are allowed inside the...More

Beautiful gardens surround this old estate from the Silver Baron days. Inside, the palace replicates the grand homes of Italy and France from the era. Highly recommended.

Take a look inside the mansion of one of the biggest mining barons in Bolivia. An entrepreneur of his time, never got to live in the mansion he made for himself and his family. Beautiful architecture and history behind this place. Gardens are also amazing.

It’s like walking around a National Trust property, but everything is even better preserved as it was never lived in.

This is my favorite place in Cochabamba; a mansion built by Simon Patiño, a mastermind businessmen of the early 20th century. Did the paid tour, which is very inexpensive but instructional. The gardens are amazing!

This is a beautiful mansion or palace! A testament of the money earned by Simon Patin on the mines. The style is European with emphasis on the French in furniture and woodwork designs. The ballroom is very impressive with very tall glass ceiling, painted frescoes,...More
