If you like fossils, this is the place for you!! Get your Devonian on here at Rockport!! Some areas of the park are a bit of a hike -- be sure to wear closed toe/closed heel sturdy shoes. Easy fossil finding for kids, too.

We made two trips to this park within the week. If you want to get to the heart of the park (by the quarry) you need to take a dirt/gravel road that apparently is not maintained. We took the paved road to the north. This...More

Although the gravel washboard of a road leading to the park was in deplorable condition, punctuated by an actual washout marked only with a small sign and a large branch, our time spent in the park was enjoyable. After a scenic walk along the former...More

It wad a nice fall day when we went there. There is a little climb to get the best view, a gravel trail, not the safest. The views were cool from up there. There are hiking trails also available.

We arrived after sunset and before the moon rose. Great view of the stars - bring a flashlight. The boat launch is in the same area, but did not cause any light issues for the stargazers.

Pictures don't do it justice. My husband and I had a great time exploring all Rockport had to offer. I would suggest good walking or hiking shoes. Go climb the rocks to the very top and take it all in. Rockport is defiantly a place...More

Participated in a triathlon over the weekend. Had the opportunity to really explore many miles of trails. The views are great and really show such a diversity in one park. Very primitive and remote. The water is crystal clear. There are a bunch of things...More

There's no official campground there but I've camped anyway. Hiked up the two-track that parallels the shoreline and found some sandy beach area, which was a sweet campsite for tents and roughing it. Haven't logged onto TA... More

No official campground there, and a sign reads that the place is under video surveillance. I doubt it! There's no gate to keep you out either. I don't think I've read any "No Camping" signs there. Truth is, I've camped... More
