As a history museum, I felt Dubai Museum to be pretty standard in what it has on display. Some of the bigger exhibits are found in the underground level, and showcase the society and industries of the pre-modern UAE. The newer museums in the nearby al-Shindagha Heritage Village are more specialised and fascinating. Still, the old fort it was built into is lovely, despite the cramped corridors and the surrounding city outside. If you're interested, I recommend visiting this museum sooner in your trip, both to get a basic understanding of the region, and to set your expectations a little lower.…

A very nice peaful.place. there are lovely art galleries to see. Interesting museums like coin khanjar and coffee museums .You ll love walking around looking at buildings . Very helpful security staff. Few musems are closed.because of Covid.

Visit was prior to pandemic. There was a long line of history fanatics. Who would not be intrigued at how from humble beginnings that Dubai has risen and is now considered one of the modern and futuristic location in the entire world.

This museum is housed in Dubai Fort & is very cheap to visit. At the beginning you tour through the old fort, looking at exhibits. Originally, we thought, ‘oh well you get what you pay for’. Then as you head further down into the fort, you come across a modern museum, telling the story of the development & history of Dubai. It was very well done & we spent a couple of hours here, immersed in Dubai’s history. Highly recommend if you are a history buff like me. …
