Neighborhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

Fun place in Dubai Mall

Dubai VR Park is one of those surprises you keep finding when visiting Dubai Mall. I did not even know it existed until I randomly stumbled upon during one of my visits to the mall.
They have a good variety of VT based activities. It is mostly tailored for kids and teens, but can also be fun for everyone else.

1. The Good: It is more of a VR park with many VR options. We tried the team shooting game (near the entrance) and it was fun. Then the roller coaster rides (many different scenarios to choose from) were great. The parachute landing VR was thrilling. My kid went for the Transformer one and he enjoyed it a lot. 3D car racing gives a real racing car driving sensation. Then there is the trampoline and bounce area, dashing cars, a roller coaster, and the usual arcade and video games.
2. The Not-So-Good: The 2 color codes are confusing. Some rides can only be done with the main balance and not the bonus one and whichever ride you do first your main balance gets deducted, that is not fair.
3. The WoW factor: The VR experience. The parachute, Transformer, Dune-bashing, rollercoasters, Shooting arcade, haunted house, and Car driving, all these experiences are pretty good. Their machines and headsets move in complete sync to provide an immersive experience. Great Job
4. Money Matters: Arcade games are 10 -15 AED but most VR are 25 to 40 AED per pax. PlayDxb is on the Entertainer so we got 200 bonus credits on our 200 recharge. Bonus credits can only be used on blue rides so first do all the yellow ones with your main balance and then move to the blue ones
5. The 5-Point Experience: This is a good place to experience some Virtual Reality. Nowadays many play areas have VR experiences but here there are lots of options and they are really good. Worth a try
My Verdict: Come and get immersed in some Virtual Reality. Try this out

The kids had enough in less than one hour

A nice place, very goog service. Some games didn't work, most of the games were ok, but the kids had enough in less than one hour.

Overall good experience with family

We purchased passed from gocity. But when we reached there we had to pay another 5dhs per person for the cards, which was not mentioned before. SO we bought 5 cards, and in each card we had 7 VR passes. However when we went in, another person told us that we could have purchased only 1 card and put all the passes in...
Ultimately found out that these passes entitles us only to some of the VR experience. For others , like some of the rides, access to the play area, jumping castle, etc we had to pay extra.

Lots of fun

A great choice of VR experiences and arcade games that children (and the young at heart) will love. Our 9yr old daughter had a fantastic time here. We felt it was value for money.

This place could be so much more

We so badly wanted this to be amazing and to be honest it’s not much more than an indoor amusements.
Be careful loading up your card before going in. Have a look around, see what you want to do, then go back to the desk to get a card and load it with credit. The reason I say this is because I have read other reviews whereby money is left on the card and refunds are not available.

A huge variety of games

Went there for VR experience. There are a lot of games, including those that require special equipment (eg paraplane flight). The lines are not that big, had to wait for 5 minutes just once.
But the quality of the picture is not the best, I've seen better.
Still had much fun

Lots of maintenance

We visited a couple of years ago and having had such a good time were very excited to return. Unfortunately, many of the rides were undergoing maintenance so the experience we had was basic at best. I’d recommend you check what is operating before you purchase the credits as I now have a card that is full of credits!

Waste of money, overhyped

Absolute waste of money. The amount charged is very high, compared to the quality of the games. It is hypoed as a VR park. only a few rides are virtual reality, and that too, not worth the price. Strongly recommend not going to this place.

We had a lot of fun here

Our kids enjoyed themselves here for a total of 3 hours spread out over 2 days. The VR experiences have something for adults as well as small kids. The VR roller coaster is a lot of fun! We spent most time playing the other games in the arcade and had a blast. If you need to spend an hour or two in the mall while mom is shopping this is a great place to go. Recommended.
