The guides showed us the perfection of the architecture as well as the deep knowledge of the physics of the people who built it. Resisted hundreds of years to earthquakes and able to broadcast the sound of prayer to 40000 people inside. Amazing

Our guide said, this is the building that has more tiles than any other buildings in Iran. The ceilings are gorgeous. Some restorations were in progress. The acoustic effect at the center point was impressive.

If you are a photographer you will love this place. So many angles, different tiles etc. 200,000 ir fee and the downside was yet another with scaffolding . Iran must do all their restorations at once on October !!

One of the highlights of Esfahan. although don't be disappointed if the scaffolding on the dome exterior is there for the next few years - It is still a great joy to see from the outside and inside.

The Royal Mosque (Today called the Imam Mosque) dominates the southern side of Naghe-Jahan Square and is, indeed, the most focal point of it.
