Vank cathedral is located on Jolfa street, Isfahan province. I really suggest you visit this place. unforgettable paintings of 7 levels of heaven and the hill!

To experience Jolfa, the Armenian quarter it is worth to see in addition to Vank Cathedral also the Holy Betlehem Church (seems less visited), both visits give comparative view on how wealthy the christian-armenian community was back in the 17th century in Esfahan

A real gem amongst the many sights of Esfahan. Inside the Cathedral is covered in fresco's. Vivid colors with a lot of gold. It looks stunning. Outside it could be mistaken for a mosque if it would not have a cross on top. The museum...More

You can see nice paintings in walls and roof. it has great musem with attractive things such as first type machine in iran and one handwriting on the hair

We were unlucky to come to Esfahan on 24th of April - Armenian genocide Remembrance day - and the cathedral was closed as well as the Armenian church close by.
