It is a beautifully built mosque on a lagoon of Red Sea. Not too big and not too crowded. Men and women can offer their prayer separately. Sunset from this mosque is beautiful

the best time to visit is at early morning or late afternoon by sunset .try to avoid the week end as the corniche is very busy over the week end

One would actually believe that the mosque is floating - that's what it seems from a distance. Actually there are pillars supporting the base which rise from the sea bed. lovely piece of engineering.

As we strolled by the corniche, we stopped for afternoon prayer at the floating mosque. It’s one on the pilgrims’ favourite place of visit after performing umrah or hajj. Spacious mosque and many helpful locals around.

This is a must visit for anyone travelling to Jeddah. Best time to visit is during Sunset. Makes for an amazing family time. Ensure to carry a mat to sit there. Can barbeque chicken or meat over there.
