There's not much to see but it's worth 10 minutes of your time to stop and take pictures of the architecture and statues in the yard. Make sure your shoulders are covered and you're not wearing shorts.
From the standing Buddha to the long boats to the golden wagon, there were amazing treasures throughout the yard of this temple. We didn't get to see inside as it was closed but plan to go back to see it....it must be amazing!
Wat Sensoukaram has a dazzling appearance created by an intricate gold work overlay. Built in 1718, it is simply not to be missed. Luang Prabang is a jewel and this Wat is one of its principle gems. Not to be missed.
We visited this temple while on our way to visit the bigger Wat Xieng Thong (Golden City Temple). It is one of several temples along Sakkarine road. Slightly bigger and more beautiful than the other temples along this road. Also free to visit.
If you happen to be walking or biking past, it's worth a quick look. No entrance fee. The paint and restoration work are nicely done. Quiet, peaceful grounds.... off the main tourist track heading toward the end of the peninsula.
