This pagoda is located near the junction. We can visit inside there without paying any fees. Formely, in the compound, many souvenirs and handiwork shops were found. We can see big seated Buddha imgae and beautiful statues of angles. It is describing the strongest effort...More

We stopped on the way back after sunset at Mandalay Hill. Interesting to see the skinny buddha for a change, incl all the other figures around him. Monotony of prayer through loudspeakers gave the place an eery feel.

Statue resembles the state of Buddha when he left the palace and live in wilderness for six years. During that period refusing food and nearly starving to death. Compound also has two statues of reclining Buddha & many statues of Buddha in different postures. If...More

This is an unusual Buddha to see being really thin and ribby. This is after he stopped eating while fasting (a little like Jesus fasting in the dessert for 40 days). This a modern figure but very interesting to see and very different

This Monastery is just couple blocks from my hotel and I didn't know until I reached this place. Not very popular among tourist but if you have spare time then you should definitely visit this place.

After seeing countless of Buddhas around the world, finally somebody actually came up with one that was a complete surprise. Ought to be a must, when visiting Mandalay.
