Beeing in Constanta and walking arround I have entered inside the Saints Paul and Peter Cathedral. This is the largest orthodox curch in Constanta town. Was built between 1883 and 1885. In the WW2 was seriously avariated by bombardments. You can enjoy the bright colors...More

Older and not as ornate as Odessa's. Some of the frescoes are very faded but still very nice. Orthodox churches are much more ornate than most other churches it seems to me.

A beautiful example of Orthodox architecture and art. Open and free to enter. Worth seeing the frescoes in the entrance way.

The most beautiful cathedral in Constanta. Is situated on sea side in the historic center of Constanta. Is the most preferred for weddings and related events. A beautiful and peaceful place for prayer and tranquility.

Like all Eastern Orthodox, the inside is filled with wonderful paintings. An easy walk from Ovidius Square and another easy walk to the Casino on the Black Sea.

The Cathedral was a nicely built in 1884 but had seriously been destroyed during WWII. Restorations started in late nineties and still appeared to be pleasant when viewed inside the Cathedral. Worth to visit this Orthodox Cathedral when you happen to visit Constanta.

Go inside and see the beautiful, ornate interior of this cathedral. To the left of the alter is a wonderful silver and gold Madonna worth seeing. It is a stark contrast to the gutted and dilapidated buildings around it.

Take a Constanta Walking Tour with Diana (you find her on Trip Advisor) and ask her for a specific tour from the cathedral. She is really good!
