This is the most beautiful church in the city (in my opinion). Lovely surroundings and inside there are beautiful paintings. Thankfully Orthodox churches are still primarily places of worship, so entrance is free, although no photos allowed inside. First Romanian School is also in the...More

This historic church is located west of the old town. The outside is more impressive than the inside, but worth a look on your downtown wanderings. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

I do recommend to go to this church, appreciate the paintings there are on the walls, the church itself and the cemetery.

We were lucky to have a local guide who took us into this lovely church and the neighbouring First School, printing press and upstairs exhibition of early books. The demonstration of the early printing press was inspiring- what treasures a book would have been when...More

Another very interesting historical church, and a part of the sites and history of Brasov. The history behind the churches of Romania has to be looked at, individually, to really appreciate everything.

Surprisingly small and rather dark inside because of the mainly wood architecture, yet full of history, symbolism and wall paintings. Has a small curio shop at the back and part of it was sealed off from the general public. Was open on a Monday. In...More

An old church in the courtyard of which we find the Museum of the First Romanian School is thus a place to visit for tourists. With a very rich and troubled history St. Nicholas Church remains a history book for all of us.

Walked the outside during walking tour arond Brasov. Part of the History of the area. Would suggest doing a walking tour to get to know the area then as you have time visit some of the main sites on your own. We stayed the night...More

This is a church at the union square and also has a museum that has the first printing press from all history of Romania. The current main part of town is Austro-Hungarian in its roots but Union square is the original Romanian part. You can...More
