Great Views of the City from the Minaret
Jun 2021
When I went over to the mosque I was told I could climb the minaret which is definitely not normally allowed at mosques. Of course, I had to do it. The minaret is 113 feet tall, 4 1/2 feet wide and has 78 very narrow stone steps plus a wonderful view of the old Mostar bridge and the old town. The interior was pretty cool too.

Go to top of tower!!
Jan 2020
Never been to a Mosque so it was cool to check out. Very historic and surprised it did not get bombed back in the 90's was. The person who sold me the ticket even said it did not matter about taking my shoes off so it is informal also, probably because the amount of tourist they get. It is a definite to go up to the top off the tower and see the view on top!!

Nothing special
May 2020
This is nothing spectacular and it should not detail you. There is a nice view of the river from the terrace.

Peaceful spot and view
Mar 2020 • Solo
Climb the twisty stone stairs for themselves as well as for the beautiful atmosphere at the top. Do not do so, however, if you are either claustrophobic or acrophobic. Otherwise, enjoy!

Lovely mosque and good views of the bridge too
May 2019
It is unusual to find a mosque where women do not need to cover up, but I still felt the need to at least cover my knees when I visited, saving my visit for one of the less warm days. It is well worth the entrance fee to see the building, which as mosques tend to be is beautful, as are the views of the bridge to the rear. Indeed this is one of the best places to view it from.

Koski Mehmed-Pasha Mosque
Apr 2019
Built in 1618/19.
Its founder is Mehmed Koskija but he died in 1611 and the building of the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque was finished by his brother Mahmud.

Most unique & rare but delightful to see all three religions "in harmony" ( hopefully)

A magnificent Mosque but we ended up being a bit timid - or overly respectful - to traipse up the minaret. There are numerous lovely Minarets all over Mostar.

Amazing views of Old Bridge
Oct 2019
it is well worth the 6 euro to visit the mosque and minaret.

Near the entrance is the ablutions fountain set in a delightful little courtyard. The mosque is quite small but very interesting to me as a non-Muslim. I would encourage you to find the board that has a lot of photos and the history of the mosque, including how it was all but destroyed in the war.

The climb to the minaret top is quite steep and the passage narrow, so would strongly encourage visiting at a non-busy time as it can be a bit of a squeeze passing people, and would probably be impossible if both parties were rotund!

The view from the top is amazing. We spent about 15 minutes up there just taking it all in. We were also lucky in that one of the bridge jumpers took off whilst we were up there and we managed to take a video of it.

I walked the bridge many times and saw a number of guys standing on the edge as though they were preparing to jump, however, they never seemed to. The guy that did jump was in a wet suit - maybe that is the sign that this one is serious???

Tourists are not required to remove their shoes to visit the mosque.

Very narrow stairs to the top
Sep 2019 • Couples
It is nice that you can climb on the top but not for people who are affraid of heights. The view is fantastic and worth to suffer on the stairs. It is easier go up than down.

Best view of old town
Aug 2019
This Mosque give you the best view of old town and the best view of the old bridge in Mostar. The history of the Mosque itself is worth checking out. The architecture of this Mosque is very pretty with winding step going to the top.
