The bridge is pretty and is in the middle of town. Loads of people and tons of shops. Seems everyone is eating ice cream and walking around shopping. Didn’t see anyone jumping off the bridge, but the pictures from other blogs show people jumping? Looks...More

Round stones line the streets and the bridge which arches in the middle. Wear good shoes eg Merrill’s because the stones are somewhat slippery. Views are nice. Peopl3 seem nice. When I went there were many tourists

A half day trip from Medugorje, we arrived in Mostar. This city showed remnants of buildings with bullet damage from the war in the down town area. We walked across the bridge, it was beautiful and it led to the Muslim area of town, there...More

The history surrounding this beautiful bridge adds to its charm and brilliant engineering creating it, both the first time and after it was bombed. It made our visit to Mostar even more special.

This is obviously an unmissable highlight in Mostar. The bridge surface is quite steep and very slippery, choose your shoes accordingly. Walking in the side streets outside the very touristic bridge is rewarding and charming -and less busy-.

Nice after the bombing and reconstruction. Great symbol of peacekeeping for ever. I hope this never happen again in Europe.

It is quite a sight, if one is cognizant of the ups and downs of the region's past, it's reconstruction and other stories. The bridge does offer views which are rustic and quite different from elsewhere in Europe. The rocks under the bridge where the...More

I am uneasy with this review. After all it represents a brutal destruction of a cultural symbol all rebuilt as if a cracked old wall had been plastered over to look as new. Bluntly, the bridge is a fake, rebuilt after its deliberate destruction by...More

A beautifully restored landmark. Very nice to look at from all angles. Relaxing down by the river or from one of the riverside restaurants, or join the crowds walking over it. Be careful, the surface of the bridge can be very slippery, even in dry...More

The Old Bridge is a beautiful symbol of the resilience of the people of Bosnian & Herzegovina. After being destroyed in 1993, it's been rebuilt and stands in it's former glory. There are several great spots in which to photograph the bridge - on the...More

You may also want to go into the mosque which is open to visitors for a small fee. Not being Muslim it was interesting to me to go in to see what it looks like inside. From the side garden by the river, it's a great photo... More
