We enjoyed seeing the old Roman Forum during our brief cruise visit - and also the archeological museum next door!

You will end up on Forum no matter where in Old Town you are. In night is more beautiful then during the day. Lots of Roman history but lack of details. However, there are some exhibitions that can help or a city map you can...More

The forum is not massive as the one found in Rome but unmistakably reveals the influence of the great Roman empire in this small mediterranean city.

While walking from the city to the promenade along the sea, you pass a small park of Roman ruins nicely displayed. It was neat to see the various examples of architecture with pieces of statues, columns and buildings displayed.

I had a sad feeling as I walked freely about the runs. My wife and I got to stand on a spot that used to be an incredible man made marvel that was torn down by man. I am just grateful that what was there...More

You can walk amongst the ancient stones which are laid-out approximately how the Forum would have looked in terms of floor area, very sympathetic display I felt ?
