We spent 5 nights in Dubrovnik and had loads of time to walk around the old city (which is rather small) and explore all the narrow alleyways. We tried to get lost, which is one way of discovering interesting streets that does not show in...More

We had a nice walk through the old-town but it is just too crowded and overprized. We couldnt enjoy the atmosphere of the old town and even didnt want to have a coffee there because of the insane prizes. Better bring your own drinks and...More

I was very surprised the way people built up a hill when I visited Funchal. Well this is insane! Loved the white stone farcades, the endless steps and alley ways, the fountains, the market, the port. All of it is worth a visit! Couldn’t do...More

Dubrovnik is a beautiful and small city. We spent a few days walking around the city, and you can tell there are a lot fewer tourists before 10 am, and after 6 pm, so I'd recommend visiting then, in addition to being there during peak...More

It's great to see the old town maintained as a thriving hub for coffee, food, drinks, and hanging out in general. Like all tourist places, be prepared for crowds and higher than average prices, but in this setting, you don't mind paying a premium. There's...More

Excellent rebuilt Old Town after the damages of war with narrow streets and nice museums, don't miss the War Photo exhibition! Some many viewpoints to explore. Although very crowded, it was a lovely time and absolutely a must-see !

Old town is the most amazing place. I loved all the history and the vibe going on was something else. Truly loved Dubrovnik and had an awesome time there. If you’re looking for a holiday make this your destination you won’t be sorry

This is my second visit to Dubrovnik and it did not disappoint. The first time was in 1984 under Communist rule so I was naturally interested to see how it had changed. The medieval town itself is just as I remember it. Traffic-free lanes meander...More

I would advise getting there at 8am or 9am at the latest otherwise it's too hot to do the whole walk and enjoy the views. It's also less busy even on non cruise days at this time. By the time you finish the walls and have a... More

the wall walk is about 1.5 hours but there are at least 4 spots where you can exit the wall and leave. (There are also a number of Red Cross stations for those who need a rest). The sea side of the Old Town is more... More
