This is a very beautiful building that is open to the public. It has high fences around it but they are open. The inside of the building is very detailed and very typical of an Orthodox Church in all it's grandeur.

Reviews can also be found under the Orthodox Church in Dubrovnik. What I said there: The Serbian Orthodox Church (1865-77) houses a number of icons with more in their museum next door (did not visit). Church is free, museum charges a fee.

The Church of the Holy Annunciation is a Serbian Orthodox church with a valuable collection of icons. It also owns a huge library. I was very impressed by the inside of the church.

I enjoyed lighting candles and praying for my loved ones in this church. It has a very peaceful feel and it's a beautiful old church.

It is not often that you can call a building a thing of beauty but in this case, you can. It is reflective of a period in time where master craftsmen produced work of an exceptionally high standard and all you can do is appreciate...More

We stumbled across this church one evening and decided it would be silly not to take the opportunity to take a look. Beautiful frescoes were there to behold just for the sake of taking the time to enter. It should be on everyone's list of...More

The church itself is interesting, decorated with frescoes and icons, as is the case of all Orthodox churches. Admission is free and they even have some lights inside in the evening. However, the adjacent Icon museum has closed, some say for renovation, some think forever.

Popped into the Cathedral one afternoon whilst in the old town, and was immediately impressed by the architecture! The Cathedral is located right in the heart of the old town, and is a lesser visited landmark although I don't know why! If you like architecture...More
