This is the place to get out for a good walk when you are full to brim of history and crowds. Mind you saying that there are some lovely old churches in the park worth a look. There are quite a few steps up from...More

Took a leisurely walk up Marjan hill, there is a cafe about half way up, stopped for an espresso which you need to get you to the top. Lovely and peaceful . There's a tiny little church , sadly it's all shut up. The views...More

We only discovered Marjan Park on our second trip to Split. Definitely worth the climb up to the top of the hill to take in the fantastic view over the city, harbour & surrounds. Lovely pine forest, very clean. No litter.

Do not be put off by the 646 steps required to stand under the flag! Take your time and the stops along the way provide a panoramic view of Split. Absolutely stunning views from above let you see Split from another perspective. The harbour, the...More

Not for the faint hearted. Although I'm in my 60s and made it with lots of small rests. The views are worth it. Over 700 steps and the steep hill but lots of places to stop and admire the view. My daughter did it twice!

We walked the road up to the first view spot, and then took the stairs up to the very top. Walking via the road was very peaceful and quiet as there is not much traffic. We took the stairs all the way down, and were...More

We enjoyed walking in this lovely park which has stunning views over Split and also to the Adriatic and surrounding islands. It is a steep climb up through the old fisherman’s village and you will find a good cafe/bar at the top of the steps...More

We walked it ... then we ran out. Great escape from the city not having to go too far. Easily navigational which is always helpful!

It's a 4 minute walk from old town. Head towards Vidilica cafe bar if you want the vista with a good hike. Otherwise head towards the main park entrance and you can rent bikes from there.
