This is a nice square, right at the upper part of Potemkin stairs. Nice buildings, some restaurants and a good place to drink a beer and chill.

Beautiful monument, left over by disappeared civilization that once populated this barbaric land. You have to give credit to modern barbarians that they did not touch this piece of art with their blood stained hands

This monument is in the midst of other monuments and sights in the area. Within minutes, you'll find Potemkin Stairs and Statue of the Duc de Richeliev. There are many fantastic architectural buildings in this area and is worth taking a look at.

This is another landmark by which you can orient yourself or meet with companions. Not particularly monumental, it still is a useful point from which to orient yourself.

Forget your preconceived notion that Odessa is like other cities in Ukraine. Feels like you are in Russia and this monument says it all. In the middle of a roundabout just up from the Potemkin Stairs.

The importance of Catherine the Great is confirmed by the statue description in six languages. Situated in Odessa Square, the green building behind the statue is magnificent.
