This tour of the end to end life of the cocoa bean was amazing. It was two hours but went by so fast. We got to see and taste the cocoa bean. Then got to roast ourselves and make a paste and then actual drink hot chocolate made from our beans. Also at the beginning we got to make our own chocolate bars that were ready for us when we left. The tour was run by Jocelyn and she was amazing. She was so knowledgeable but also knows how to make it fun. Our group included people from all over the world and she helped make us all feel welcome. We have done lots of chocolate tours and this by far was the best we have ever attended. I really feel like we understand how chocolate goes from bean to bar. Highly recommended.

The chocolate class took 2 hours and was probably my least favorite thing in Antigua. The time can be better spent elsewhere. Best part was pouring chocolate they melted earlier in the class over toppings I picked.

We learned so much about the coffee bean process and had a really great time with our guide and farmer. I would definitely recommend this tour to those visiting Antigua! We had a great time.

Loved how friendly our hostess was and the entire experience was centered on teaching rather than selling a product. She made us feel welcome and made sure everyone in a 16-person group had fun. I completely recommend this for anyone who is visiting Antigua, Guatemala. The chocolate is also amazing.

Sadly, this place doesn’t care about ethics or ecology - they don’t pay fair prices to cacao producers, nor do they care whether it’s grown organically or regeneratively. There are definitely fair trade/pay, organic and regenerative farmers’ projects they could source from in Antigua and Guatemala but sadly they go for cheap and exploitative.

The workshop was two hours but time goes by fast. Information and preparing chocolate bar was fun and easy to follow. I even learned a few tips for making hot chocolate. Everyone had a great time. Although we were mostly strangers , it’s a good bonding experience . You definitely are getting your money’s worth and more.

Been going to this store for several years now and buying gelato. Four of us came today, 18 Nov 2023 and we bought 4 large cups of gelato and went to sit in the back eating the gelato. After a short time we were told twice by different employees that we can't sit there because we did not buy anything. Two other tables were occupied with people having only drinks and no one complained to them about them sitting there having their drinks.
We were also told in the past that we can not use the bathroom and we have bought gelato there
What is going on? I will write about how were treated on trip advisor.
