Besides parking everything else was really nice at this beach. The beach is a little distance from parking but not bad.
There is a walkway from the parking lot to very near the beach.
The beach was pretty full but everyone was nice and kept to themselves.
There was a sand bar a distance from the beach and it was nice walking out there.
Might be too deep during full high tide to walk to the sand bar for even an adult.
The beach was really nice.
Everyone seemed to pick up their trash but garbage cans would be nice.
Sorry I did not take any pictures.

Let me start off by saying we have been coming to the island for 7 years and got married on island in 2017..
Always loved jetties and the sand bar ..
Yesterday’s visit was awful .. from the very start as we stood at the stand to get a table .. an elderly lady who was already eating approached the podium host stand and asked if her table might be changed because of an issue the hostess stated to her that one seated you have no ability to change so she had walked away disappointed.
After we had been seated we ordered street corn which came over completely dipped in blue cheese with a little bit of spice..dishes no knifes or forks .. as I sat there and tried to wonder how myself my husband and my teenage daughter was going to eat this corn on the cob with a bottle of blue cheese on it I watch our waitress cleaned two tables as we sat down. finally she came over and gave us dishes. All the while the corn was getting cold this was just the beginning.
We ordered our main course which my husband got a burger and the waitress asked if he would like french fries as if it was a question I didn’t say anything else of course he would want french fries with his Burger why not. and my daughter got the fish and chips.
When the food came his burger was as if it was a frozen puck that was defrosted in the microwave and thrown on a bun fries were soggy at best he then ordered a drink to make the experience a little better!
The whole time while we’re eating my daughter was getting bit by one of those biting flies under the table that just wouldn’t quit! If things couldn’t get better they did as four people were sitting above us on a different ledge overlooking the water one lady dropped her drink and it spilled all over the floor behind me splashing us not one person said sorry .. no one even came to clean it up I was done!!
I felt as if I was at a trashy dump.. i’m not exaggerating again I’ve been here many times I’ve taking pictures here eating here it’s been a great today no the bill came for $92… this meal couldn’t have even beat
out McDonald’s and that’s not an exaggeration! And buyer beware when they do ask you for fries they don’t tell you there is a 3 to 4 dollar charge on top of it even though the $14 burger should come with french fries at a place called the Sandbar! We will not return promise to the Sandbar for anything it’s unfortunate may be due to Covid etc. but there is just no excuse to have a business in Nantucket or anywhere else for that matter and be so careless and dirty this is a valid review and if you have questions please reach out! I am a well seasoned traveler I’ve been to place like Anguilla Turks and Caicos st Bart etc there is no excuse we should’ve even had an experience like we did and it’s unfortunate that I have to even write this review!

Jetties Beach is an uncrowded and considered somewhat undesirable beach, but great for dogs (and small kids) because of this. We love bringing our dog here to run on the sandbars. It's perfect for our guy to cool off at low tide as it's easy to keep your distance from others and makes for a safe place for them to swim, shark-free!

We went on a sunny but cool day in March. We were able to walk from our hotel and saw where they hold the summer concerts. Nice walk from there to the lighthouse.

We loved Jetties Beach so much we went there twice during our four day stay on Nantucket. About a mile or so walk from the center of town it is easy to pick up something to eat at one of the many town eateries and then head down to Jetties Beach for a leisurely afternoon of relaxing and reading. The surf is not rough at all as the beach is protected and in the second week of September the water was still enjoyable enough to actually fully go into, not nearly as cold as some of the other beaches on Boston’s North Shore we had been to the prior week! There are tons of shells at Jetties, great views and plenty of shoreline to walk and explore; we can easily see why this is one of Nantucket’s most popular beaches.

It's an easy walk or bike ride from town. The restaurant and bar make it a nice convenient day at the beach.

Nice and quiet. Area small between water and dunes. Quite windy. Good parking. Outhouse lavatories are available.

Wasn't too crowded in June, restrooms, food, rental chairs, etc.

Easy walk from the Beachside Hotel!

Nice environment but extremely terrible service. They not only forgot to serve but we were not given menus. I had to go remind the hostess that I was here and she was still short and rude to me. The food was fine but not worth the wait. The girl servers outfits were not kid friendly. Coke was watered down. Fries were good. Overall, food was good and service was terrible. If you really want to come, be prepared to wait.

We took a walk with the dog and went to Jetties Beach. It was not a long way to the beach and it was nice to walk on the beach - the sand was hard packed so easy to walk on. We did encounter a dead sea lion, which was interesting.
