Highly recommended - just the right amount of information and artefacts. The mummies were super interesting but be aware of them if you have children with you. Definitely worth a visit!

Had a very enlightening visit - visit on Sunday and it’s free admission. Quite a few videos featuring the Inuit culture. Also many displays and rare mummies from hundreds of years ago.

The building doesnt look of much from the outside. But we were so pleasently surprised, when we were done with our museum visit, a whole lot richer in the inuit and danish culture. This museum is definately worth your time if you are visiting Nuuk.

This museum is an absolute gem in Nuuk. We very lucky the get an overview of the collection by the museum director himself. The exhibits are very interesting and provide a great overview of Greenland's history over millennia. There is a section containing the famous...More

Very well done, not-so-small museum that does a wonderful job showing Greenland's history and history of its many peoples. The mummies were not like those depicted in media or in Egyptian museums, more like the Bolzano ice-man. Very small and of course dimly lit for...More

An interesting museum to visit in Nuuk. The mummy room is the highlight. However, the world's oldest rocks from the Nuuk region is no longer there.

This a fantastic museum: interesting, well organised, detailed explications in Greenlandic and in English. Don't miss it if you're in Nuuk.

We recently had the opportunity to visit Nuuk while on a Crystal Northwest Passage cruise. This excellent museum provided an excellent opportunity to learn about the history of Greenland and its people. The museum is organized into several buildings, each with a unique focus, but...More

This is a great place to understand Greenland. The "mummies from ice" are by far the most iconic pieces of the museum. Anyway some other stuff is really interesting too, like the Norse clothes found in the permafrost (if you visit Erik the Red's house...More
