You can only get this lighthouse from the water, but you can get a great view of it from the Thomas Point Park. The lighthouse is unique for one very special reason, it is in its original location for over 100 years and it is...More

Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse is a National Historic Landmark that was the last manned light in the Chesapeake Bay. it's an itty bitty thing from the eye of the bridge. I didn't actually go in the lighthouse or very close.

Visited around the lighthouse that was included on our boat tour of the Chesapeake Bay. Fantastic day; sun shining and calm seas. Our cruise lasted 3 hours.

Not the easiest place to visit, we passed it whilst on a fishing trip and it it has to be one of the nicest lighthouses I have ever seen.

This lighthouse is stunning. The architecture has been copied as far away as Coronado CA. But it is a functional lighthouse, so there is no visiting. Further, it is off shore in Chesapeake Bay, so the only way to really see it is by boat.

This is one of the last "screw-pile" lighthouses on The Chesapeake Bay. EVERYONE'S favorite!! Tours to the water-surrounded lighthouse during the summer.

It was a very nice Sunday afternoon, the fishermen were out in force around the rocks fishing for rockfish. It was quite a long trip for us from Back Creek, but getting out to this historic lighthouse and seeing it up close and personal was...More

This is a unique opportunity to tour an off-shore lighthouse and learn the history of the structure as well as the story of the lighthouse keepers and how they lived for months at a time in this tiny space. The lighthouse windows and decking provided...More
