Very pretty, steeped in history

Enjoyed walking around during Graduation week despite the cars screaming past. I'm sure this would be pretty in the Fall when the leaves are turning.

Go daily,g, museum hopping, explore a frigate, eat out or picnic, shopping and more. There are hundreds of things to do in Annapolis all times of year. Stop in at the Naval Academy of America or the Maryland State House while you are there.

The area is full of speciality shops and restaurants. If you drive; you will be paying for a parking meter or parking garage. The water inlet at the end of the road is known as ego alley where people show off their boats. Make sure you plan to visit downtown during one of the meal times because there are so... More

We had a lovely tour of historic Annapolis. Our guide was Squire Alan, posing as a ship's master for a Mr. Middleton. We really enjoyed the tour, Squire Alan entertained us with bits of sea shanty songs, fun facts, and a few doses of goosebumps. Altogether a wonderful way to get a nice framework of Annapolis history in a gentle... More

It was a great experience to stroll up and down the streets of historic Annapolis at any time of a day or night. There is a bit of a crowd on the Main St. but you can easily divert and step in one of the adjunct streets. Beautiful churches, colorful and quaint streets, interesting details and small little gardens behind... More

Shockingly similar to Williamsburg...and then found out that it was designed by the man who helped design Williamsburg!

Annapolis is a national historic landmark -- not just a building or two, but the entire city, and deservedly so. The city is really old and authentic, from the buildings to many brick streets. It has been lovingly cared for and restored, and there is much re-use of historic buildings for modern purposes, like shops and restaurants, which are plentiful.... More

What a lovely stroll we had through the historic Annapolis to feel what it was like back in the olden days. The shops are cute. Looking in the shops and alley, there is a great feeling of adventure. The visitor center is pack full of information.
