Walked 8.5 miles today

Visited many local sights and ate locally but not too much for a family with kids to do for a week. Also did not see many young kids around Annapolis.

Annapolis is a charming city that boasts of history, shopping, pubs, and notable restaurants. There is something for everyone here. Once the seat of government and the place where Washington resigned his commission to become POTUS, you can tour the State House. Not your cup of tea? Take a boat cruise around the beautiful Chesapeake bay by power or sail.... More

Haven't been in the heart of Annapolis for many years, only an half drive from Baltimore, main street offers many unique shops and restaurants, and better yet on the weekend you can just park your car and take a casual walk around checking out all the history surrounding this capital city of Maryland.

Romantic and historic old town that has an old world ambience. Shopping and restaurant district right on the harbor makes for amazing views.

Great place to visit for those who enjoy history. Some of the old buildings date back 1600 and 1700.

One of a kind shops from art to pottery to clothing to dining. Retains feel and look of Revolution era architecture. Visitor friendly everywhere you turn.

We live in the greater Annapolis area and enjoy all that the small historic city has to offer. The Maryland Statehouse served as our country's first capitol. There is much to do here particularly for history buffs. The restaurants are local with great food choices. We lived in Ohio and visited Annapolis and was lucky enough to later move there.

There was a great small town feel at the parade. I've never seen more bagpipe bands in one place! Lots of Firefighters and law enforcement marching. Fun floats! Festive crowd!

My daughter and I decided to stop by downtown Annapolis one afternoon while she was on her college break. We walked around the town looking in the interesting shops. We walked all the way down to the water. It is a nice view even in January. There are many historic buildings and interesting architecture.

The historic district around Main Street and the Capitol is stunning, lively and well maintained. Some really old wooden houses and beautiful properties line up Main Street and the adjacent streets from the Capitol to the waterfront.
