This was quite literally a paved-over railroad track, so expect a straight, flat, long, narrow trail that extends from Annapolis to Baltimore. Great for walking dogs, and for people-watching (it gets pretty crowded on nice warms days), but watch-out for the speeding cyclists! The safest part of the trail extends from Arnold to Severna Park, but after that be extra... More

The B & A trail is a very well maintained mostly flat trail. It is nicely shaded in some areas. I am not comfortable riding the trail by myself because there are areas that are very wooded and the trail is not visible by houses or roads. The restrooms at Earliegh Heights are always clean and well maintained. The trail... More

My sons and I ride the B&A trail all the time and we all find it to be excellent. It can get a bit crowded in spots on very nice days but generally speaking, there's plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommended! One of the best uses of taxpayer money that I've seen in a very long time. Go Ride!

This is such a great idea, and I would use it all the time. Except it is not safe. There are alot of pretty bad areas that it goes through, and I would not recommend going on this while you are alone. Or when it is not in total daylight hours. I'm sorry to say this, but I have to... More

This is such a beautiful way to spend an afternoon biking, or running or walking. The trail is paved, and has great signage. There are many places to enter or exit onto the trail, making this great ro short or long rides, walks or runs. As the seasons change it is like a new place to visit. This is great... More

This trail winds along the old Baltimore and Annapolis Railroad. It is a well-designed trail. It can be used for a brief, or a 20 mile tour.

I was recently introduced to road bikes by a small group of friends. They took me to the B&A Trail early August/2016 and since then I'm going to the place, alone, with my wife or with friends, pretty much every week. It's close to my place and accessible from many different points. It's connected to the Friendship Park at the... More

This mostly shaded trail is asphalt and in great condition. Bikers are respected here and even in Severna Park where there are a number of moderately busy road intersections, cars will yield to bikers. There are also some walkers, but one can still bike here at good rates of speed. The maintenance of the trail is quite good, and it... More
