Located on a busy roundabout in central San Salvador, this statue of Jesus on top of teh world is a pretty good find. Most recent upgrade of it was in 2010. Local skateboarders seem to enjoy the area too. Crossing the busy roads to get to the centre of the roundabout is probably the only challenge involved here.

There is more significance to the statue than just looking at it. In the middle of a kind of roundabout so you will need to run over a few lanes of traffic to get to it. Locals like to skateboard here. As it was xmas time there where lights everywhere so probably looked lovely in the dark.

The Monumento al Divino Salvador Del Mundo translates to ‘Monument to the Divine Saviour of the World’. The statue consists of a statue of Jesus standing on top of a global sphere of planet earth on a concrete pedestal. It was built in 1942 initially but required some updates after being damaged in a earthquake. It’s dedicated to Jesus Christ and around August every year a number of celebrations occur here.
It’s location isn’t ideal, as there is no parking available except on nearby side streets. The structure itself is also fairly underwhelming and would benefit from an update.
It’s main purpose would be as another stop in a larger tour of the city

I passed by this monument, and couldn’t figure out what’s so beautiful about. The area is extremely busy, impossible traffic.

We drove by the monument but couldn't stop by as they were setting up for a Christmas event happening later that evening. Nonetheless, the monument is beautiful with Jesus sitting on top of the World.

We can assume that the monument is located on one of the main squares of the capital, and for a religious country it is quite significant. The monument is a place highly visited by locals. And it is visited as a place of rest - for example, we watched a meeting of an amateur orchestra ... and a group of people who wanted to dance gathered right there.

San Salvador seems to have monuments in all road junctions. This one is a statue of Jesus on a globe on top of a four legged pillar. About 60 feet high, it’s almost eighty years old.

This monument identifies El Salvador from any other countries. It’s a very special place to Salvadorans. Many activities start or end in here.

Very Nice Place near the cathedral that is "surrounded" by historic monuments of the city. It's also near the City Hall.
