Wayyyyy underground - think several hundred feet. Long escalator ride up or down. A good place to get out and then take a walk from there to the Holodomor museum and Pecherska Lavra

This is the world's deepest train station, and it really takes you a long time to get down there. The Kiev metro overall is great, so do take some time to go to Arsenalna and time the "trip" up ;)

Spending only approx 7pence on a token to Arsenalna Metro Station to the deepest station in the world, travelling on the longest escalator you can imagine. Metro is quite easy to get around.

Arsnenalna metro station is the one you need to stop if you want to visit the churches complex. Moreover, it’s known as the deepest metro station in the world, which makes it unique and worth a visit

...which is immediately followed by a ground-level one! A beautifully decorated, carefully constructed Soviet-era station, featuring a speedy escalator.

Upon entering the station, I had no idea that there would be not one, but two huge long escalators (of dubious safety - per usual in the post-Soviet world) to get all the way down to the track level. You don't need to linger here...More

The metro system is fantastic, and sooooo cheap it is crazy (about 12 pence a journey). the system is 'on time' and easy to understand (it has a number system that even a child could use). This station like many is worth a visit even...More

Not the most beautiful, but the deepest metro station in the world. The ride on the escalator is so long, that people are sitting on the stairs and riding their books.

Considered one of the deepest (if not the deepest) Metro station in the world, it is located 105 meters below ground and uses 2 amazingly long escalators to get to the tracks. It's a mesmerizing experience.
