The Fortress is a must-see when in Belgrade. Perfect with a guide who can provide the history lesson. It is part of a large park. I nice weather, you can just wander or sit overlooking the Sava and Danube rivers.

This is a major historical site. Even though I studied most of Belgrade's history at school, none of it made sense to me until I visited this fortress. Truly mesmerizing.
