Bucharest downtown, located right in the city centre, is a very good meeting place because if you start your walking tour from here you have many options: Piata Unirii, Piata Romana and Piata Victoriei, from here is also close Cismigiu Park.

It is a special place for protesters since December 1989 from Romanian Revolution against comunist regim. Here is the National Theatre, Intercontinental Hotel, University of Bucharest.

The heart of the town. Here you can find Teatrul National(The National Theater),Palatul Sutu(Sutu palace),University Palace and Intercontinental hotel, with an interesting architecture.Very close are Biserica Coltea(Coltea church),Spitalul Coltea(Coltea hospital). Also there are a few restaurants and pubs. In winter is the place of a nice Christmas market.
