The monument itself isn’t that much of a thing, however there are days when the view can be very nice. Great area to stroll and take loooong, loooong walks.

One of the most simple but impressive monuments in Bucharest to me. Built in 1935 in homour of Romanian WWI airmen by the architect and sculptor Lidia Kotzebue. Defenitely one of the best contributions to aviators in the world.

Located in the middle of a tiny round about connecting many major roads, this monument can be seen while in a car or on one of the pavements of the roads that lead into the round about.

Saw this monument on our way back to our hotel. It's enormous but is sadly in the middle of a very busy intersection so tricky to see the plaques up close.

Just a statue, although there is probably no other like this in the world. Right at the centre of a crowded square.

The monument is situated in the centre of a busy road so the best way to see it is on one of the open top sightseeing buses that tour the city. It's worth a look if passing but there are much more impressive statues in...More

Dedicated to Romanian airmen who fought for the allies and died during World War I. Why did the Romanians change sides in World WarII? Reminds one of a huge statue of JC!
