Transylvania and Dracula's Castle Full Day Tour from Bucharest

665 reviews
No visit to Romania would be complete without ticking off Transylvania, where ancient castles are set against backdrops of dramatic rolling hills. See the best of the region without having to worry about car hire or navigation on a day trip from Bucharest, which offers a great introduction to local history for first-time visitors.

Bucharest old town is a magic place. Full of positive energies. Each time I go there it seems I'm recharging my batteries. A lot of nice restaurants and pubs, a lot of building just restored and old ones to be seen and visited. You can find also new stores, libraries and a lot of things to see. Everything in a little number of square kilometers.

Visited in September 2020, wonderful to walk around, look at the architecture & soak up the atmosphere. We were required to wear face masks on the Friday evening around town, but not mandatory at other times. Victoria Pasajul is a little gem. In the evening lots of restaurants hawking for business but all pretty friendly if not interested. Would recommend!

Visited Bucharest for three days in August 2020 and highly recommend the old town as a busy, vibrant and great place to hang out. Underestimated how nice it would be. Also very close to the piata urinii fountains

Beautiful old town with a lot of bars, restaurants and ancient churches. The streets are bad (don’t wear heels) but it has a certain charm.

Lovely area with a lot of character. I liked the elegant buildings with restaurants, cafés and stores. You can find there a very beautiful bookstore and a very modern Starbucks, cute places to have a drink or eat outside or inside, the oldest church in Bucharest and also places for nightlife. It’s a nice mix of variety of places and I loved strolling around.
