Still some crumbling buildings, as one sees all over Bucharest but vast majority renovated. The problem is that the focus is on the many very touristy mid market restaurants and bars. Part town for the younger crowd. It felt like very touristy Spanish destinations. Every restaurant has someone at their door trying to pull you in. This area is hangout capital. Its located in Old Town and is famous for its bars and restaurants and just a party atmosphere for visitors and wsp. young people. It's a lovely area if you want to be in the limelight somewhat, however it can be very crowded at nights.

I was last in Bucharest in 2011 so lots of positive changes in Lipscani, the Old town in Bucharest. More restaurants, more apartments, less abandoned buildings. A good walk to browse into the shops -- I am sure even busier in the warm weather when one can sit outside at a cafe and appreciate the architecture…
