This'll was built in a time of progress amd represents a strong symbol, as it was also supported from public subscriptions. The paintings are beautiful and the building majestic.

It’s a nice place to visit after dinner when the concerts and music festivals are back. We paid Lei 10 to get in and see the concert hall which was fine but nothing special if you have been to other part of Europe.

120 years old beauty hosts philharmonic concerts and it is city's main concert hall. Style is neoclassical, with more romantic touches. In front of the building there is a small park and a statue of Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu.

The building has ornate interiors, with paintings depicting the history of Romania on the walls. The theater itself is intimate and has great acoustics. A very impressive building!

We parked near the Atheneum and walked around it and strolled through the gardens in front, admiring its neoclassical beauty. Sadly, there were no performances the night we were there as I would have loved to have seen the interior.

The art inside this building is really quite remarkable. It's as lovely as many of the famous painted churches. And the acoustics are phenomenal. If you have an interest in music, this should definitely be on your list to see in Bucharest.

Extraordinary building! If you have time to go to a concert there do not hesitate. For a price of 3 beers at Ateneu you are going to have an experience that will remain with you forever.

Thank Robert E

Just go round the side to the ticket office. You can possibly do it online too, but we found it easier to do it in person.
