Even though it was said to be open on the internet listing (and we know everything on the internet is true right?) it was closed when I walked to find it. I was interested in Curtea Veche because it really does have a genuine connection...More

Having just visited "Dracula's Castle" in Bran in the morning, it was nice to see the bust of him in Bucharest in the evening. I enjoyed my stroll through Old Town because in addition to the many pubs and shops, there were also plenty of...More

We sought this site out after seeing Bran Castle and hearing about Vlad the Impaler. This is a medieval palace he had built but currently is in ruins. It is worth walking by to get a feeling for the history of it all. Not much...More

There are some ruminants of building foundation scattered about and a nice bust of Vlad but that's about it. It's good for a walk by if you are in the area but I wouldn't seek it out. It was locked up after we did seek...More

There's absolutely no need to spend the mare 1US$ for this museum, as most of the exhibits can be seen from the street (and there're not that many of them to begin with). The bust of Dracula provides a lovely photo-op, but that's about it.
