We decided to visit on the last day not expecting much. For me it was a perfect museum especially if you are interested in the 1992 civil war, communism, the 2nd World War, Stalin and everything else that Moldova has endured. The displays were vivid,...More

This is a real gem and is bigger than you would think. It covers a lot of the history of Moldova. There are many exhibits showing the sad times of occupation.

This museum is chaotic, not hugely catering to foreign visitors but you can really transform yourself to the tragic era(s) of the Moldavian history and that of the nations which were once a part of the Soviet Union.

Our family went on a Sunday afternoon. The museum is very dark and they wouldn't turn on the overhead lighting making it impossible to see the exhibits. The military equipment in the yard is very cool...lots of big guns, mechanized vehicles and tanks....no cost to...More

Pretty cool museum, lots of displays and weaponry. Outside are a number of old tanks and jets, inside the tour starts in chronological order with authentic and sometimes disturbing exhibits including the Moldovan war and also footage from ww2 which I've never seen before. Lots...More
