My partner and I were wowed by the collection. If you're an English speaker don't let the lack of English information on the ground floor put you off, there is more information in English on the other floors.

This museum seems really 'dated'. Lots of stairs to climb, which I found to be fairly challenging, given the stifling heat. Specimens were definitely not preserved through 'cutting edge' taxidermy, given obvious fabric seams and tiny nails holding them together. However, the groups of little...More

I enjoyed this museum. I liked the old fashioned nature of the museum. lots of exhibits, some of the taxidermy was pretty good, others were pretty bad but kind of curious. interesting and I learned a lot about fishes.

This would be interesting to kids who wouldn't have seen real stuffed animals and fossils etc before, but is now sadly outdated.

Compared to natural history museums in other national capitals, this one is very limited. It is small and most of the collections are limited and appear in need of attention. They do have one of the largest collections of birds I have seen, however, and...More

Decided to pay a visit as part of a four day trip and was slightly underwhelmed. Although only 5 Lev entry and being spread over four floors, there isn't much to write home about. pretty much the usual specimens including some large stuffed beasts! Needs...More
